Half Smokes

For those that have spent any time in the Washington D.C. area, the half-smoke is a street vendor staple. I just remember this being in the neighborhood of the U.S. Supreme Court. I was able to zoom in and see this is the corner of First St. NE and Maryland Avenue in front of the United Methodist Building, which is in fact near both the U.S. Capitol and Supreme Court. This was shot sometime in the late 1990’s on the Canon Rebel 2000 with its standard 28-80mm zoom lens on Kodak Gold 100 film (not Fuji!!), then scanned on the Pacific Images PrimeFilm 3650u scanner and tidied up in GIMP 2.10.
