Going through my stash of film negatives I shot in the Washington D.C. area in the 1990s and early 2000s, I found this shot. I didn’t know what the building was at the time so I looked it up by uploading it to google images. The first thing to come up was the IMDB entry for 1971 horror film “Willard” in which the plot summary reads “A social misfit uses his only friends, his pet rats, to exact revenge on his tormentors.” Scrolling down, I discovered that it’s actually the Willard Hotel at 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue, a short walk from the White House at 1600.
Shoot photos, not each other.
