Tribute

After a long battle with heart issues, I lost my father this week. There’s been so much love and support on facebook and in person from family and friends and that is overwhelming and deeply appreciated. I am at a loss for words. There are so many feelings that I honestly have no idea how to say. Except for this. You see, he owned a Nikon D7000 which I inherited. As a Canon user of 20 years, I literally have no clue what half of the buttons on this camera do. But studying the manual, I have managed to piece together enough to yield this rose in our yard after a rainstorm this morning. My thought being that the first photograph from it should be something my mother (who loves roses) would like to see. The metadata on the files just shows up on the photos when you upload them to wordpress, so the caption is very fitting.

Rest in Peace.
