Blue Suede

Don’t step on my blue suede shoes…..

For those that have visited Graceland, this is the fountain by the grave site of the one and only Elvis Aron (it really is misspelled) Presley. Shot in November 2002 in the off-peak tourist season, there was nearly nobody to be found. Though nobody was in site, I felt a hard nudge on my shoulder and I could swear that another person was present when I shot this. Even though it was blustery cold, I was burning up hot. Does the ghost of Elvis come out to greet tourists? For the conspiracy theorists, it’s unthinkable. For the cynics, it’s impossible. For the rest of us, it’s folklore. There was a small group there and everybody seemed more interested in being inside where it was warm, so there were no witnesses. Though if he were still around on his 85th birthday he might urge fans to shoot photos, not each other.
